Interview with Dr. Daniell Cornell, Curator of the “Chicano Encounters” exhibition at the de Young Museum

We have the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Daniell Cornell, Curator of American Art and Director of Contemporary Art at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. Dr. Cornell is the curator of “Chicano Encounters: Local Places and Global Communities” one of the three exhibitions that make up “Chicano” which is currently on view at the de Young Museum through October 22, 2006.

“Chicano Visions: American Painters on the Verge” features a variety of Chicano artists. This portion of the exhibition is curated by Rene Yanez and features works from the collection of actor and comedian Cheech Marin.
